Executive Order N-62-20 Workers Compensation and COVID-19 (Open to All)

On May 6, 2020, Governor Newsom announced Executive Order N-62-20. This executive order creates a rebuttable presumption which provides Workers Compensation benefits to any employee who contracted COVID-19 within 14 days of working for their employer at their job site or at the direction of the employer. After abrupt closures during the 2019-2020 school year, charter schools are faced with many uncertainties as they plan to safely re-open for the 2020-2021 school year.
